Mosquito Life Cycle
1. EGGS
Female mosquitoes lay eggs in containers that hold water.
- Above the waterline on the inner wet walls
- Only a small amount of water is needed.
2. LARVA
Eggs hatch within a few days to months when covered in water.
3. Larvae Live
Larvae live in water and develop into pupae in as few as 5 days.
4. ADULT MOSQUITOES
Pupae live in the water and then develop into adult, flying mosquitoes in 2-3 days.
